Adventure Basecamp Wales, is a wild scenic site set in a peaceful rural location just outside Snowdonia National Park and offers you easy access to Adventure Paradise.

The site guarantees excellent facilities for a wild camping retreat and is the ideal base for your adventure days out.

If you’re into karting, onsite you have one of the UK’s largest leading British Karting Circuits, this is quite possibly going to be the park of all your petrol-themed dreams.

And apart from the world-class karting, there are plenty more reasons to stick around here for quite some time: the site offers MTB eBike and Hiking Adventures. From basecamp you can enjoy a numbers of wild biking trails and a whole heap of walking trails. Relax around the wild lakes that lie around the local area or adventure out of your comfort zone with a wild swim.

The camping greenery is in a Dark Sky Area, a perfect location for all you keen stargazers.

Adventure Basecamp guests enthuse the most about after their stay here is the team’s excellent and friendly customer service and the utterly handsome views from the site.

Another thing that gets a rave review here is the coffee and cake: fresh beaned coffee is served onsite and to keep you fuelled throughout your stay, the GYG team can serve you breakfast and lunch bites and homemade sugary treats. The team highly recommend you venturing out and taste local Welsh products, including Welsh meat, cheese, wine and local honey. There are plenty of farm shops and country pubs, that your cordial hosts will be more than happy to point you towards.

When you return to basecamp after exploring you can enjoy sparklingly clean toilets, hot showers. Free Wi-Fi is available in the main building.

From Adventure Basecamp you can quite easily explore all the popular Snowdonia mountain range and if you’re a keen scrambler, scramble up epic Welsh ridges and the famous Tryfan Mountain. Explore the popular Ogwen Valley, a hikers paradise.

Take a wild swim in to Wales’s wild natural lakes or take part in the outdoor watersport on offer, from stand-up paddle boarding, canoeing and rafting to world’s biggest inland wave lagoon at Surf Snowdonia. As well as beautiful natural glacier lakes you have aches of natural forest that boost MTB Trails.

Adventure basecamp is surrounded by photogenic villages. 10 miles from the site you have Betws-y-Coed, stop at Conway falls for a photo opp or try free falling, plummeting, ziplining and swinging at ZipWorld Forest.

Explore the slate mountain and disused slate quarries. You can easily access the Welsh slate trail and discover hidden Welsh gems on route.

Our underground adventure attractions are pretty special. You have Bounce Below, an underground trampoline park and Go Below, where brave contenders journey through a mountain via a series of challenges ranging from zip-lining through caverns to climbing up vertical shafts.

Experience the beauty of Snowdonia by steam train, with over 40 miles of scenic railway.

Just 45 minutes away from the site is the glorious Welsh Coast. Explore Welsh heritage with a visit to our 13th century-fortresses and enjoy a walk along the Welsh Coastal Path. Make a splash, dip a toe in or simply sit on the sand admiring the view. North Wales is full of beautiful beaches.

Dogs are welcome 

Due to the site being located on farmed land and for the safety of others, dogs are welcome onsite but must be kept on a short lead at all times and kept within the confines of the owners pitch area.

Strictly no dogs allowed on the Racing Circuit, Dummy Grid or Facilities Area.

Any dog fouling must be cleaned up by the dog owner, otherwise a £50 fine will result.

This Site does not accept breeds / crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dog Act.

Arrival & Departures

To be welcomed onsite by a member of staff  please sign in at Reception upon arrival from 9:00am to 5:00pm.

If you are arriving after 5:00pm please pitch up on the Greenery and sign in to Reception the following morning.

A Camp Site brochure will be provided to you with site information to insure you enjoy your stay with us and experience the best that North Wales has to offer.

Please depart from your pitch before 11:00am. If you are departing later than 11am please let management know.

24 Hour Security

For your security and for the security of others the main A5 gate will be locked at 10:00pm to 8:00am. If you wish to leave early hours please let a site member know.
